This family in Westmount had a lower level that everyone walked past. It was not broken. It was not unfinished. It was just never given a reason to exist. They came to us and said something we hear more than people realize we want a room that makes us want to stay home. Not a room that looks good in photos. A room that pulls the family toward it on a Friday night without anyone having to suggest it. We designed the whole space around that one sentence.
